Last post we shared the foundation to developing your child’s focus. 
Just in case you missed it, here are the 3.5 “FOCUS” Steps we shared:
- Old School=> “Yes Mom!”

3.5 STRONG REWARD SYSTEM
Now that we’ve got your child responding with a powerful “Yes Mom!” when called…We’re now ready to take the next step:
Eye Contact!
After your child responds with his “Yes Mom!” and he comes over to you…It’s time to make sure we’ve got his attention.
The best way to do this is to make sure she’s giving you eye contact and we get a child to give eye contact
by asking a question…
‘Eyes on who?”
Your child’s response should be Mom/Dad.
As you ask the question, be sure to point at yourself.
Now if he doesn’t answer, answer for him, then make him repeat after you.
You have to remember that if you don’t say what you mean and mean what say, you WILL lose credibility with your child and she won’t take you seriously.
Eye contact teaches your child to be respectful and mindful of what you’re asking. It also teaches confidence and as you know, a confident kid can conquer the world.
