Unleash your child’s [POTENTIAL!]

As a father of 6, providing was my #1 priority. I spent most of my kids’ childhood working to provide for them and their activities.

There weren’t family vacations but there was/is Sunday Dinner and Church. My kids did have the best activities money could buy and they wanted or needed for nothing. They never missed out because we couldn’t afford it. As a matter of fact, we couldn’t afford MOST!

Our focus (my wife and I) was on their Christian upbringing—we wanted them to havea relationship w God and they do.

My children are happy and successful.

They learned that “Where God guides—He provides!” That’s what we ALL, as a family, relied on.

Now this is NOT a religious message. I am just sharing our family’s philosophy.

My wife Ana and I sacrificed so that the kids could have.

But before they entered any activity--Karate was FIRST and was the constant in their life so they could learn the value of COMMITMENT and GOAL SETTING!

Many a time, there were BIG money issues.

We sacrificed, borrowed, were late on payments etc. so our son could go to Binghamton University, our girls could go to Ballet and our youngest boys could do Robotics, Soccer and the list goes on…

It was a struggle both financially and timewise to say the least! My wife was that minivan racing down the boulevard going from one activity to the next. There were nights she and the kids weren’t getting home until 10 PM!!

Why did we risk so much? We believed in our kids’ potential and were committed to making sure it was fulfilled. We refused to let money (and us) be the reason our kids didn’t succeed! We did our best to help our kids be their best!

Nothing more—Nothing less!

Today, when a student enrolls in our GoForIt Karate Program, we coach both the student and the parent on how to develop “Black Belt Spirit!”

What is Black Belt Spirit? It’s the ability to do BEST!! As the lesson progresses, they learn that there are 2 ways to go through life…one is best, the other is all the rest!
